Ah, my bad - I think I should have not updated the version here; if it's easier we can always revert the version number in the R DESCRIPTION file and keep the entries?

I've run $ dev/release/post-10-bump-versions.sh 24.0.0 25.0.0 successfully. I'll take a look if I see CI failures or something strange but the local run was succesful.
